Bryan Beller is gonna red0 the bass on two of the tunes for the SE. I'm not gonna say which two, other than one of them will spark a "OF COURSE he's doing THAT one" reaction, while the other will probably get a "Really? THAT one?!?"
He was gonna do three for me, but when I was backing up the files off the hard for the third one, I somehow managed to lose almost all of the original vocal audio tracks for it (NOW GONE FOREVER), and I decided that I didn't want to spend the time reconstructing them for the SE, when there are 51 other tunes to worry about. So, for that song, the original version will have to be the one. It would have been fun, too - the original doesn't have any bass on it and I would have loved to have heard what BB would have come up with. Oh WELL.
I can't believe BB hasn't done a session for me since... 2002. Man. Time is flying.

I don't know much about that there recording stuff, but why does the Beller feller need the vocal tracks to lay down his bass? I know it probably wouldn't be as high quality without the original tracks, but couldn't you mix his bass in with the final uncompressed audio mix of the song?
Well, he'd need to hear it so that what he came up with didn't trample on the melodies that are already there, but I think for me it was more that the track in question didn't really require bass (I just thought it might be fun), and I already have a whole lot of tracks getting touched for the SE, and I need to get the thing done sooner rather than later. It just seemed not worth bothering with further.
