Thanks for all the words of encouragement over the last couple of days. Those who have been hanging around for a long time know that I can't just let things slide.
And last night I wrote and recorded most of song #18, "Moist." It sounds like Trent Reznor doing a jingle for a cake recipe.
I'm going to have to get used to how my new surroundings sound. I was pretty used to recording and mixing in the old digs, and now I'm in a completely different type of space. There are hardwood floors in here, and there's a wall behind me where I didn't have one before. I'll get the hang of it, though. Change is good.

I meant to add this comment to the other post, but here will do.
I was fully expecting there to be some bumps along the way, for lack of a better term, and was even prepared for there to be a skipped week here and there for completely "valid" reasons. Though, at the same, time I could also very easily see how you would figure out a way to NOT let that happen... 'cuz I just know you.
That being said, I'm also expecting there to be an occasional... can't think of a word for it... but a "song" where you've just propped up a mic, or perhaps micS, in and around the apartment and you're just walking around with an acoustic, improving, going crazy, acting goofy, venting, whatever. Basically, something that just about as raw and real as you can get.
But my imagination for your project can certainly get out of hand, especially when the only "work" I'm able to contribute is a listen and a few comments.

That anyone besides me has an "imagination" for this project blows me away. I am grateful that anyone, anywhere gives a shit. And it's the main reason that I just can't stop. I may have to dial back the "ambition" certain weeks, but it's going to take a lot to keep me from putting something up on Mondays.

I hope you're able to see it through. If anything does derail it, it's already been great from the listener standpoint. There are songs in 5240 that are some of your best, imo. ILYMTYD & LW are easily in your top 5. You'll finish this, though...I'm sure of that.
I keep thinking there's going to be some big opus-like final song to wrap it all up (not that you're written it yet). Your Kedgeree so to speak. That's about the only thing I've imagined coming up in this.

I'm hoping that something will pop up and announce itself as an obvious candidate for a "last song". On the other hand, I'm 34 tunes away from that action.
