Had some initial problems downloading, but finally got it.
WOW! Very cool riff and great song. For one guitar, it sounds huge. Nice job!
Shawnitus Farleycus Neanderthals are thought to have used tools of the Mousterian class, which were often produced using soft hammer percussion, with hammers made of materials like bones, antlers, and wood, rather than hard hammer percussion, using stone hammers. A result of this is that their bone industry was relatively simple.
I couldn't use the direct link. It said it was a bad link. I had to go thru Bandcamp to download the song.
Whoa... I really , really like this one. I'm hearing Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, King's X, and Yogi (and something else, someone old) all wrapped up in this ditty. It's great. I dig that second guitar riff/section... cool effect in headphones.
I had that record too. :)

Great riff. Very cool indeed, loved the ending soundtrackthingy. What movie was that from?

Sorry sorry sorry... totally bonked and FORGOT TO UPLOAD THE MP3 after I made it. The link works now.
I'm surprised this is the first time in 20 weeks I've managed to pull this particular goof-up.
Really like this one. Even if you describe it as primitive, it's still interesting overall with plenty of bits to catch your ear.
No witty comment though. :(
Nothin' better than sampling childrens records! And this one definately RAWKS. I really dig it.
Out of the 20 tracks, I would say this is probably my 5th favorite one.
Perfect, gopack! I was totally aiming for "fifth favorite" status on this one. ;-)
Just shows that I have no idea what you guys will really think of these things I do. I thought you guys would think this one sucked.
Jeroen, it's not from a movie. The source is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLMZh7mf464
I had that book n' record set as a kid and listened over and over and over. When I saw that YouTube vid I about exploded with happiness.
Far from "sucked" dude.

Talk us through the story, because there's no doubt that it's a long one, behind the inspiration for the buzzer-sound-effect-thing at the 2:45 mark.
I like it.

Ha! Not a long story on that at all, really. Once I've got an arrangement pretty well nailed down I do several "listening passes" where I try to decide if there are places that are too "empty" or where some sort of variety may be necessary. And I'll just push record, and either play guitar, or in this case, synth, scrolling through patches to see what leaps out as being "right." I hit that one note and it was SO loud and SO ridiculous and made me laugh SO hard, I knew that it belonged.
It's just so random. I love it.
I laugh my ass of every time I hear that. Random goodness indeed.
I see that you tweeted something about having the desire to write an instrumental for #21. Even if it isn't next week's tune, the thought of an all-out guitar assault song in this project is a really, really, really good idea.
Man, I better get practicing, then. My guitar chops are in a sorry state right now. I don't even know if I could do a "guitar assault" if I wanted to.
Just read your tweet "is in that part of the week where I'm listening to the music coming out of the speakers thinking: "WHAT am I DOING?!?""
Well, the answer to that is definately: making us happy. Remember: in arts weird is good.
Maybe in life in general weird is good, but I'm not sure. Gotta look that one up.
Jeroen
Oops.
"defenitely" is an english word.
Think I write that one wrong every time I try that one. Including the next time.
It's one of those words I know by sound because it's on a record (Marillion - Margaret live) not by eyes in some book I once read.
Jeroen
I can comment now that I have recovered from the heart attack that I had when the LOUD main riff kicked in - nicely done.
Nice riff, made me think of Black Sabbath, Kings X, oh, and you!
Keep crankin' them out DUUUDE!!
(Sorry, I'm English, I can't say dude without sounding like a complete tool)
The snare flams in the section around the 2:05 mark (and again at the end of the song) are so key. I like that riff anyway, but the flams are what cement the overall feel for me.

Damn-
I missed this one last week. I LOVE this. You know I have a thing for really heavy sound with pretty pretty vocals...this where TOOL, System of a Down and Mike Patton have stolen my heart.
Liked this one a ton. I don't know if its FIVE, but its in the top FIVE for sure.
Heather, if you like heavy music with pretty vocals, you should definitely check out King's X, Galactic Cowboys, and Porcupine Tree.
This track slays.
Hi,
As previously mentioned, I love that "second guitar riff". But what really makes it for me is the drum part there. As Ferris might say it, those flams are so choice.
